And needing an un-supported old software is not good for a Logitech device that is still on the shelves in many places.Īnyway, maybe if Logitech adds G300 and G300s to new G Hub your problem can be solved, and I am sure our experience would be more pleasant. This ruins the Logitech's single central control software concept (which I really like). If you also have a newer Logitech peripheral too, you need to have both LGS and G Hub running. Logitech GHub does not detect my G300 (I have seen more people with this problem).

But your problem might persist because Logitech does not seem to update LGS anymore, since. However, Logitech Gaming Software does not start up on windows 11 (when reinstalling it says it is not compatible with windows 11). My point is my issue might have been solved with one of the LGS updates since then.
LOGITECH G300S SOFTWARE DRIVER
So, perhaps it was not a driver issue but rather a LGS bug. I don't think that the G300/s driver version changed since then, as the current driver I have shows in its version date.

I used to fix the issue by reinstalling the driver (or rather the whole LGS package as drivers were only available integrated in it). The mouse would work, but in onboard settings mode. Happy to provide extra information to help fix this.Īs a G300 user, I hope G300 and G300s gets more support.Īlthough I haven't been experiencing such bugs lately, in 2017 I had some similar issues where Logitech Gaming Software would not recognize my G300 on boot up every now and then. I love your hardware, and it's a shame my experience is being let down by a software issue. Power-cycling the original PC fixes the problem for days, until the cycle starts again.īecause the problem seems to be linked to the PC, not the mouse, this is clearly a driver issue, and seems to be a subtle and intermittent bug which has existed for years (from my own experience over time and the reports of others with the same problem.)Ĭould the driver development team try and track this down? When plugged into another PC the mouse works until plugged back into the original PC, where it resumes blinking. While in this state the Logitech Gaming Software can still detect & communicate with the mouse (changing the rgb updates the color of the blinks.) Switching usb ports sometimes fixes the problem. Eventually stops responding completely and blinks erratically. (love the layout, wish the switches lasted longer.) I believe every one I've owned has at one time had this problem: Mouse starts disconnecting & reconnecting a second later at erratic intervals. I have a Logitech G300S, trying to make the macros work on M1 but Logitech Gaming Software gives me the same error 'You can’t use this version of the application LogitechGamingInstaller with this version of macOS. Then run the program and make sure to check settings and ensure "Run this program when Windows starts" is enabled, if you don't want to launch manually.Over many years I've owned several g300 mice till the micro-switches wore out and now have a g300s. You may have abandoned processes in memory that prevent it from loading, in which case you can kill it in Task Manager or just restart the computer if that's easier for you. To enable this, click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and in the dropdown, select "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)." Then click "OK" to save. Right-click on "LCore.exe" and click "Properties." Switch to the Compatibility tab.įrom here, I used the wizard ("Run compatibility troubleshooter"), but the mode which ended up working was Vista SP2. Navigate to the executable path (probably C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software). You'll notice nothing happens if you try to run it. You probably still have LGS installed, but if not, do so. I think a lot of us with this mouse are using it because Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) pushed the "upgrade" but at the same time, Logitech's support page says it doesn't support the G300. Worked for me, YMMV.Ĭlose / disable G Hub. I know this is an old thread, but I landed here via Google and wanted to share for others who may be facing the same issue, as I found a solution.
